In 2009, Dan started MKD Medical Device Distributors to assist Vortex Medical Inc. in launching their Angiovac Device for the treatment of pulmonary embolism. He started the first 36 accounts leading to the first 2 million dollars in sales. Dan was instrumental in the acquisition of Vortex Medical Inc. by Angiodynamics Inc. After the acquisition, Dan joined Angiodynamics as their National Sales Manager for the Angiovac device.


In 2013, Dan joined Edwards Lifesciences to help launch their TAVR device in the NY/NJ markets. In 2015, Dan left Edwards to help Saphena Medical Inc. launch their Venapax EVH device and help Cruzar Medical launch their Houdini Catheter for the treatment of chronic total occlusions. Currently, MKD Medical represents numerous companies specializing in cardiac and vascular surgery, as well as, interventional cardiology and radiology.

Daniel C. McCormack has been President of MKD Medical Device Distributors since 2009. He has been in the medical device field for over 25 years. In 1992, Dan began working with Aesculap Corporation selling their “multi-specialty” instrument line in N.Y. and N.J. In 1994, Dan left Aesculap to begin working with Guidant Corporation in their Cardiac Surgery Division. He started as a Sales Representative and was promoted several times. In 2003, Dan left Guidant to join Cordis Corporation (a division of Johnson & Johnson) to launch their Cypher Drug Eluting Stent in New York. He held several senior sales positions as well as Key Account Manager in the Northeast and Area Marketing Director for the Eastern U.S. Dan has consistently gained recognition in all organizations as a top performer, (Rookie-of-the-Year, multiple Presidents Clubs and multiple Million Dollar Clubs).
